Eleanor Rigby, The Beatles. Just because it’s my favorite lovely sad song. <3
Rocky Raccoon - The Beatles
I like the outcome of this video but I think that’s because I really like the song in the first place. This song isn’t a love song, per se, but it reminds me of the One. I don’t know why but I really, really, really love it and it never fails to move me whenever I listen to it. It never gets old, it’s still the same amazing feeling EVERY SINGLE TIME. My optimism leads me to believe that he’s somewhere, out there, listening to stuff I’ve never even heard of or maybe, just maybe, playing this song alone in his room. Ahhh, too much fiction. Yes, this is it.
Help! - The Beatles (This one’s a favorite among favorites, it reminds me of long car rides with my father. Help! was also released in 1965, my mother’s birth year. I’d write that my relationship with her needs all sorts of help but she reads my tumblr. I might get locked out of the house. Just kidding! I love my parents.)
When I was younger, so much younger than today, I never needed anybody's help in any way. But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured, Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors. Help me if you can, I'm feeling down And I do appreciate you being round. Help me, get my feet back on the ground, Won't you please, please help me. And now my life has changed in oh so many ways, My independence seems to vanish in the haze. But every now and then I feel so insecure, I know that I just need you like I've never done before.
Twist and Shout - The Beatles
Come on, come on, come, come on baby now
Come on and work it on out
You know you twist, little girl
You know you twist so fine
Come on and twist a little closer now
And let me know that you’re mine
Can’t Buy Me Love - The Beatles
I’ll give you all I got to give if you say you love me too
I may not have a lot to give but what I got I’ll give to you
I don’t care too much for money, money can’t buy me love
